Fedrigoni Papers.
I love all things paper, and I am lucky that part of my job is to source the perfect materials for each project, so I thought I'd share perhaps one of my favourite brands of paper; Fedrigoni.

An italian company, Fedrigoni make some beautiful luxury papers and boards that are perfect for projects such as top-spec property development brochures and marketing material for suppliers to high-class companies.
The company itself is fantastic and they are always willing to talk paper!

The wedding.
Hello all :)
This is the year of the wedding, so I am busy researching and booking left, right and centre!! With just over 7 months to go until the big day, and time passing by in a blur, now is the time for me to begin the invitation sets.
Back in August last year, with 12 months to go, I sent out save the date cards to the friends and family we hope will be our guests...
As you will soon come to realise, I love to make things, so it was not a surprise to our loved ones that I decided to make our invitations by hand. And boy did it take a lot of time!! But I think it was totally worth it in the end.
Our wedding reception is to be held in a converted barn, the flowers will be very 'English Country Garden' so it seemed fitting to go with a recycled natural card. Fuchsia is one of my favourite colours and I love the bright impact it makes set against a very neutral background – and how intriguing will it be to see a bright pink envelope drop through your letterbox!
The format is tiny, so it fits nicely in your hand, and opens to reveal a satin ribbon that forms a knot (tying the knot...). Touches of foiling make the invitation feel more special. The love birds were drawn by Steph (Steph Loves to Draw) and I adore them! Here is the final result...
Can't wait to start the main invitations!!

The first post...
Hello!
Inspired by one of my best friends and the success of her fantastic blog Steph Loves to Draw, I decided to set one up for myself...
My name is Danielle and I am a typographic designer. I love what I do; the feeling I get when the composition and typographic elements just seem to fall into place to create something that is not only functional and serves its purpose, but looks beautiful too.
I am lucky in that the line of work I am in at times allows me to play with luxurious materials and set type with beautiful imagery – my design heaven! – and though I am not able to share the final outcomes with you, the materials and use of colour will feature to provide inspiration.
Inspiration. It's all around us, and for each and every person it is different. Ideas can strike at the most random of times; for me they seem to arrive in the dream-like stage between awake and asleep, so there is always a notepad and pen beside my bed! This blog will be my outlet, a place to share my inspirations, aspirations and some of my own designs. Please follow and feel free to email with your ideas and inspirations!!
